56k.Cloud achieves the AWS IoT Competency

Our team at 56k.Cloud is proud to announce that Amazon Web Services has awarded us with their AWS IoT Competency. This makes us the only team in Switzerland to have been recognized by AWS for its IoT offerings.

Back in 2022, we obtained our first AWS IoT Greengrass project for an American security company. The setup was experimental, and long nights were spent preparing for demos.

We've come a long way since then. We hired an IoT Engineer as part of his Master's program, yielding us an AWS IoT reference architecture, we've deployed devices on metro stations serving millions of users, safety-critical systems, as well as local Swiss manufacturing operations.

Thanks to the many years of experience in this domain, we've also started offering our very own managed offering for manufacturing customers. We believe that providing fast, easy, and innovative solutions for that industry will be a key component in keeping this crucial Swiss sector competitive.

This competency is a nice badge to add to the many list of skills we've mastered over the years within the company. But more importantly it's an acknowledgement of the work and efforts of everyone here who has contributed to learning, deploying, fixing, and building systems that deliver real value to those very special customers who bridge the gap between the physical and the virtual, who push the boundaries of the cloud all the way to the edge.

We'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this journey, our customers who trusted us to run their operations, as well as great partners who enabled our solutions. Among those we would like to highlight Eurotech, whose devices have been a core part of our jointly showcased solutions at the many industry events we've had the opportunity to attend together.
